South Korean actor Park Sung-hoon recently faced controversy after inadvertently posting an explicit image on his Instagram Story.
On December 30, 2024, he shared a cover image of a Japanese adult video parodying “Squid Game,” titled “Squirt Game.”
His agency, BH Entertainment, clarified that Park had received the image via direct message and mistakenly posted it publicly instead of forwarding it privately.
They stated, “Actor Park accidentally posted the image, which he received in a direct message, by mistakenly pressing the wrong button.”
In a subsequent interview on January 8, 2025, Park expressed deep remorse for the incident, stating, “I sincerely want to apologize for causing discomfort and concern to many people due to my significant mistake.”
He added, “I approached this interview with a heavier and more tense heart than ever before.”
This incident has led to public backlash, with some fans threatening to boycott his upcoming projects.
Despite his acclaimed role as Hyun-ju in “Squid Game” Season 2, the controversy has negatively impacted his popularity.
