Coming from a family deeply rooted in the sport—his father, Stéphane Lebrun, was a top French player, and his uncle, Christophe Legoût, represented France in three Olympics—Félix began playing at the age of three. Inspired by Chinese penhold player Chen Jian, he adopted the penhold grip at four, a rarity among top European players.
